Compliance and Project Management
The purpose of the compliance and project management program is to provide information technology strategic planning, oversight and consulting services to New Mexico government agencies to improve services provided to New Mexico citizens. The program provides critical leadership and guidance ranging from strategy, project management and oversight, cybersecurity, and technology integration. The program includes Cybersecurity, the Enterprise Project Management Office, and Office of Geospatial Technology.
Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO)
Mission: Enabling successful IT initiatives and supporting business objectives.
Vision: IT initiatives successfully delivered on scope, schedule, budget, and meeting quality business objectives.
The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) performs the following functions:
- Provide IT management lifecycle policies, methodologies and templates for information technology (IT) initiatives to promote quality and success and report regularly on the status of the State’s IT project portfolio; and
- Provide oversight on IT projects and procurements to promote improved outcomes;
- Review executive agency IT plans for prudent allocation of IT resources.

EPMO serves as your agency’s point of contact for the following:
- IT contracts, IT amendments, IT sole source determinations, and IT Requests for Proposals
- Project Certification and Project Certification Exception Requests and Waivers
- Technical Architecture Review, System Hosting Evaluation and IT Exception Requests
- IT Special Appropriation (C2) Requests
- Payment Card Industry (PCI) Approval Requests
- IT Strategic Plan
